The Golden State Warriors are appearing to be close to the end of their "Golden" , with Thompson along others possibly leaving at the end of the season. Coach Kerr also enters his last year of his contract. Rumours are heating up about Warriors will try and pursue the Greek freak Giannis Antetokounmpo.

As per Shams Charania of The Athletic, recent reports indicate that Giannis Antetokounmpo potentially joining the Golden State Warriors in the summer is seen as the ideal scenario for the team. It would be a tough task for the Warriors considering the Greek player recently inked a contract extension with the Bucks in October 2023. 

The deal is worth $186 million over three years and allows him to opt-out before the 2025-26 season. It seems likely that the Warriors will need to work out a trade with Milwaukee to bring Antetokounmpo on board.

During the initial year of Antetokounmpo's three-year, $186 million extension, the Bucks have dropped from fourth in defensive efficiency to 21st. Milwaukee's defense has crumbled, leading to multiple lopsided losses this season. One of the most recent was a 135-95 defeat against the Cavaliers in Cleveland.

The recent loss could be a significant setback for Griffin, as a report on Tuesday suggested that Giannis, a two-time league MVP and the team's leader, had doubts about Griffin's coaching skills and ability to inspire the players.
