Harry Kane has quickly established himself as the heart and soul of Bayern Munich since his €100 million transfer from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023. More than just a prolific goal scorer (24 goals in 21 appearances!), he's become an English ambassador for the club and the Bundesliga as a whole.

Bayern Legend Lothar Matthäus says it best: "He is the face of Bayern Munich. It's not only in Germany, he is good for the Bundesliga, to make us internationally more present, get more attention. Harry is a really good transfer, we are very happy."

Matthaus believes so, but thinks current award criteria needs tweaking: "If he keeps this up, he could be in contention for Ballon d'Or and FIFA Best. But honestly, I don't think they gave the right award to anyone in 2023." He believes Erling Haaland, with his title wins and goal-scoring prowess, deserved the nod over Lionel Messi.
