Dec 6, 2023Author: Klind Parangoni

The NBA In Season Tournament is heating up as the semifinals in Las Vegas approach. The Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers both won on Tuesday, setting up an interesting semifinal game. The Bucks will play the Indiana Pacers, while the Lakers will play the New Orleans Pelicans.

The semifinals will count toward each team's regular-season record, but the championship game will not. However, each player and coach on the final four teams is guaranteed $100,000, with the possibility of earning $500,000.

In terms of the Lakers, they just defeated the Phoenix Suns in an exciting game. Both LeBron James and Kevin Durant put on a display, scoring 31 points each. The game, however, ended in controversy when the Suns seemed to get a crucial steal but were denied possession due to a timeout called by James. As a result of this ruling, the Lakers retained possession and won the game.

Bucks defeat Knicks

The Milwaukee Bucks, on the other hand, had one of their greatest offensive nights of the season, defeating the New York Knicks 146-122. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 35 points, and the club hit an incredible 23-of-38 from beyond the arc. The Bucks set a season record in points, scoring at least 37 in each of the first three quarters.

Despite Julius Randle's remarkable performance for the Knicks in the first half, when he scored 41 points and shot a perfect 9-of-9 from the floor, the Bucks regained control in the third quarter and went for a 24 point victory.

Antetokounmpo emphasized his excitement for the impending semifinal clash against the Pacers in an interview with ESPN. "It's going to be a tough game," he said. "But we're prepared for it." We've been doing well as a team, and we'll give it our best."

Meanwhile, Pacers guard Malcolm Brogdon believes his squad can compete with the Bucks . "We know what we're capable of," he declared. "We just have to execute our game plan and play our best basketball."

The Lakers, on the other hand, will face a quality Pelicans club headlined by Zion Williamson. "We know it's going to be a tough game," Lakers forward Anthony Davis said. "However, we're up for the challenge." We're looking forward to competing and maybe winning."
