Inter Miami dominated the first half, maintaining control throughout the entire 45 minutes. Real Salt Lake approached the game with a defensive strategy and struggled with possession. That resulted in Miami having plenty of possession, ultimately leading to the first goal of the game. Taylor capitalized on a Messi assist, despite RSL goalkeeper Zac MacMath's missed opportunity.
Messi was in top form throughout the match, delivering a standout performance that nearly resulted in a spectacular goal, much to the delight of fans.
In the second half, the dynamics changed as Miami struggled with fatigue while Salt Lake adopted a more aggressive strategy in search of an equalizer. However, towards the end of the match, Diego Gomez sealed the victory by teaming up with Messi and Suarez as Inter Miami is on a good start on MLS
