David Beckham and Lionel Messi are eager for the next Inter Miami season to be a success and understand that the club needs additions to improve in quality.
The team's co-owner has signed Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba, who were previous colleagues who helped the team win the League Cup the previous season, in an effort to achieve their goal.
Despite its achievements, Inter Miami remains far from its long-term objectives. The signing of Luis Suarez is intended to improve the team's goal-scoring powers. However, it is possible that this is not the final signing, implying that more former Barcelona players may join.
Inter Miami's goals include qualifying for the MLS regular season playoffs. Tata Martino took over as manager, succeeding Javier Morales, who had acted as an interim replacement for the fired Phil Neville.
Suarez is set to sign a one-year contract with Inter Miami after finishing his season with Gremio. Suarez's contract structure might position him in one of the three Designated Player slots, catering to wages beyond the $651,000 cap set for 2023. Alternatively, other solutions, such as Targeted Allocation Money, might be used to keep inside pay constraints while offering contractual incentives to Suarez.
