This anticipated match Manny Pacquiao vs Conor Benn has been rumored for a while as the 45-year-old philipenean is set to come out of retirement. Last year Pacquiao revealed that a rematch with Mayweather Jr. was on its way in 2024.  That never came to fruition, but speculations about Pacquiao considering various prominent opponents persisted. Manny Pacquiao vs Conor Benn rumored for welterweight

Mike Coppinger of ESPN reports that Pacquiao and Conor Benn are in-depth in their negotiations to square off at welterweight.

Professional fighting for Pacquiao ended on August 21, 2021. After a two-year break, he had his last bout as he approached 43 years old. In the end, he was defeated by Yordenis Ugas, and he also lost the WBA title.

In contrast, Benn is only 27 years old. From 2018 until 2022, he held the title of WBA European welterweight champion, but a suspension caused him to lose it. Since the suspension was removed, he has engaged in two fights, winning both times, against Rodolfo Orozco and Peter Dobson in September 2023 and February 2024, respectively.
