LeBron James NBA Dream: Sharing Court with Son Bronny

The NCAA saw a heartwarming moment of parental pride on March 16th during the Mountain West title game between New Mexico and San Diego State. Eddie House's son, Jaelen, delivered a clutch performance, hitting a crucial three-pointer with just over a minute remaining to extend the lead and secure a 68-61 victory for the Lobos. Recently LeBron James also reacted to this.

LeBron James Reacts to Eddie House's Emotional Outburst

Jaelen's heroics weren't just a win for New Mexico, they were a moment of pure joy for his father. Eddie's emotional reaction, captured on camera, went viral, with him famously shouting, "That's my motherf**king son!"

This display of parental pride resonated deeply with another NBA superstar, LeBron James. James, a veteran of the game himself, is no stranger to the pressures and triumphs of professional basketball. He took to social media, quote-tweeting the Hoop Central X.com account (formerly Twitter) with a message of approval, saying "I love that!!! So [fire emojis]."

James understands the House family dynamic all too well. He's actively guiding his own son, Bronny James, on his path to the NBA as part of the USC Trojans. Bronny's journey hasn't been without its challenges. In 2023, he faced a life-threatening cardiac arrest, raising concerns about his future in the sport. However, Bronny's determination saw him return to the court later in the year, much to the relief of fans and the basketball community.

A Shared Dream: Father and Son on the Court

LeBron James harbors a unique ambition: To share the court with his son before his own retirement. At 39 years old, James is nearing the twilight of his career, while Bronny has declared his intention to enter the NBA draft (though his agent is strategically waiting to gauge team interest).

"Draft position isn't as important as finding the right team for Bronny's development," explained Bronny's agent, Rich Paul, in an interview with ESPN. "LeBron wants Bronny to establish himself on his own terms."

While Bronny's current stats of 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game in 19.4 minutes of NCAA play might not be eye-catching, his potential is undeniable. His presence could even be a factor in LeBron James' future free agency decisions, potentially swaying "King James" towards a new franchise if the Los Angeles Lakers can't offer a suitable contract extension.
