Brandon Ingram wasn't messing around on Monday night. Ingram hits a career-high 8 3s, including a scorching five straight in the final minutes of the third quarter. This offensive explosion powered the New Orleans Pelicans to a convincing 138-100 victory over the struggling Toronto Raptors.

Ingram Hits Career-High 8 3s Lead Pelicans to Rout

Ingram's 41 points marked a season-high and were fueled by his newfound confidence from beyond the arc. "It's definitely a confidence booster," Ingram said, acknowledging his usual preference for mid-range jumpers. "I'm going to continue to shoot those 3s if it feels that good." He wasn't shy about emphasizing the impact on the team: "I know it definitely makes us a better team if I'm out there and I'm attempting to shoot 3s. Whatever the defense gives me, I'll take."

His performance was truly historic. Ingram became the first player in NBA history to score at least 40 points, hits at least 8 3s, shoot 75%, and not commit a single turnover in the same game. Pelicans coach Willie Green wasn't surprised, saying, "We've been on our guys to shoot more 3s and B.I. especially. He has it in him and tonight he sees what happens when he shoots the shots that are open."

Ingram's Shooting Spree Buries Raptors

Ingram's 8 3s, weren't just a one-man show. CJ McCollum chipped in 20 points, including six three-pointers of his own. Zion Williamson added 16 points, and Jonas Valanciunas had a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. The Pelicans, riding a three-game winning streak, dominated both ends of the court, leaving the Raptors with their eighth loss in nine games.

For Toronto, rookie Gradey Dick provided a bright spot with a season-high 22 points, including four three-pointers. However, the fatigue from a double-overtime loss the previous day was evident. Coach Darko Rajakovic lamented, "This was very disappointing. ... We were just like one step late on everything we were doing."

Ingram's offensive outburst, particularly his unprecedented eight three-pointers, was the defining factor in the Pelicans' victory. He proved that when he lets loose from deep, he can be a truly unstoppable force. As he continues to build confidence in his long-range shot, the Pelicans become an even more dangerous team to reckon with, with Ingram potentially leading the charge with his potent three-point shooting.
