FIFA President Gianni Infantino attended the CONMEBOL Legends match and spoke about Argentina's Lionel Messi's future, urging the 36-year-old to continue playing until the World Cup 2034

"We talked about the match, and the World Cup, of course," Infantino told DSports. "Chiqui Tapia, world champion, like Argentina as a whole." We reflected on the last World Cup and made plans for the future one.

"Everyone is happy and in agreement that 2026 will be the first 48-team World Cup, which will be huge." It will take place in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. I'm sure the soccer party will be a smashing success.

"I hope he makes it to the next World Cup, as well as the one after that and the one in 2034." Whenever he pleases."

Infantino gives his thoughts on the Legends game.

Stars like Ronaldinho, Carlos Valderrama, and Sergio Aguero stepped to the field in a game that Team Tango won 2-1 over Team Sambo.

Some of the players had not been active in decades but shown that they still had it when they mixed it up with other luminaries of the game, particularly from the South American theater of soccer.
