Rakhmonov, who is now 18-0, has never had a fight go the distance in his professional career. He has finished all of his opponents by either submission or knockout.

Rakhmonov's win over Thompson was a dominant display of grappling. He controlled the fight from start to finish and eventually forced Thompson to tap out with a rear-naked choke. After the fight, Rakhmonov called for a title shot, and it is hard to argue against him. He is one of the most talented young fighters in the UFC, and he is ready for a challenge at the highest level.
