UFC 229 has been the UFC's most famous saga with McGregor crazy stair throw, Khabib "silent" reactions and a crazy post match brawl that started with Dillon Davis. A new tale has been added to this "brutal drama", Dana White claims that president Vladimir Putin gifted Khabib and his father $20 million worth of land in Russia.

Putin's gift to Khabib

Unlike the previous week when he abruptly left a podcast, White revealed some interesting information on the most recent 'Games with Names' podcast episode. White mentioned that this incident took place before Khabib made it to the dressing room following his victory over Conor. Furthermore, Dana drew a comparison between McGregor's current situation of not returning to the octagon and Khabib's retirement. Plus, he also offerd his two cents on who can be considered the UFC GOAT. Spoiler alert, he didn't mention Khabib.

Here's what Dana said about Khabib and Putin: "He didn't even make it back to his dressing room after the fight, and Putin was on the phone. Putin gave him and his father, like, $20 million worth of property in Russia. Then he went into the Muslim territories where these guys are like, cars, money, gyms, whatever he wanted. Once you get to that level [of Nurmagomedov's fame], it's like what we're dealing with with Conor McGregor. Conor McGregor lives in a yacht in the middle of wherever the warmest place in the world is at that time. Once you get to that level, you're not getting up and getting punched in the face any more. The GOAT is Jon Jones. Jon Jones is undefeated. Khabib is undefeated, too, but I would have liked to have seen Khabib do more."
