Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard silenced the doubters and cemented his status as a three-point king by defending his NBA 3-Point Contest title on Saturday night during the All-Star Weekend festivities. In a thrilling final showdown against Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young, Lillard reigned supreme, showcasing his remarkable shooting prowess to the delight of the cheering crowd.

33-year-old Lillard, who won the coveted title last year while still with the Portland Trail Blazers, etched his name deeper into NBA history. He became only the eighth player ever to capture at least two 3-point championships, joining legends like Larry Bird and Ray Allen in this prestigious club.

The victory wasn't easy, however. In a dramatic first round, Young and three other players, including Tyrese Haliburton and Malik Beasley, all finished tied with a score of 26 points each. Lillard matched their score, forcing a thrilling tiebreaker round. With nerves of steel, he eliminated Haliburton and advanced to the finals.

Next up was Karl-Anthony Towns, who claimed the 3-point crown a few years back. But even the talented Timberwolves center couldn't dethrone Lillard, falling short and leaving the stage for the highly anticipated Young vs. Lillard finale.

The final round was a nail-biter, with both players showcasing their incredible range and clutch shooting. However, Dame Time prevailed, edging out Young by a narrow two-point margin to secure his second consecutive championship.

While fans might argue that Stephen Curry remains the undisputed three-point king, Lillard's back-to-back victories solidify his place among the elite sharpshooters in the league. He proved his consistency, clutch performance, and ability to rise to the occasion when it matters most.
