The Riyadh Season Cup final game on Thursday featured two of the strongest teams in the Saudi Pro League, Al Nassr and Al Hilal, going head-to-head. Salem Aldawsari and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic scored goals to help Al Hilal win 2-0 which made Cristiano Ronaldo mad.
After returning from injury for the match, Cristiano Ronaldo found it difficult to contribute much to the losing side and got mad. His dissatisfaction was evident all evening.
Cristiano Ronaldo's emotional collapse versus Al Hilal. Initially, he said, "I'm Cristiano, not Messi," in response to the opposing fans screaming Lionel Messi's name inside the stadium.
The players and coaches of Al Hilal then presented the Al Nassr players with a guard of honor when the final whistle blew. Leading the charge, Ronaldo became mad with an employee who got in his way.
Finally, a supporter of Al Hilal tossed a jersey at Ronaldo as he was returning to the dressing room. Ronaldo picked it up off the ground, gave it a quick massage, and tossed it back.
This kind of conduct is unlike anything we've ever seen from Ronaldo, so it's possible that the recent injury is causing him considerable worry. Whatever it is, Al Nassr needs him to devote all of his attention to the remaining games of the season.
