Chelsea thrash Middlesbrough with 6-1 result to book their place in the Carabao Cup at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
Mauricio Pochettino's side were in dominant form from start to finish, with Enzo Fernandez, Axel Disasi, Cole Palmer (2), Noni Madueke and Howson (og) all on the scoresheet.
Middlesbrough had taken a surprise lead in the first leg at the Riverside Stadium, but Chelsea were quickly out of the blocks in the return match and never looked back.

Chelsea were on the front foot from the outset and took the lead in the 15th minute when Jonny Howson turned a Ben Chilwell cross into his own net. The Blues doubled their lead in the 29th minute through Enzo Fernandez, who fired home a low shot from the edge of the area. Chelsea made it 3-0 in the 36th minute when Axel Disasi headed home from a Raheem Sterling corner. Cole Palmer added a fourth goal for Chelsea in the 42nd minute with a well-taken finish from inside the area. Palmer made it 5-0 to Chelsea in the 77th minute with another clinical finish. Noni Madueke completed the scoring for Chelsea in the 81st minute with a tap-in from close range. Middlesbrough pulled a goal back in the 81st minute through Morgan Rogers, but it was too little, too late for the Championship side.
Chelsea will now face either Liverpool or Fulham in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium on February 25th.

Chelsea were far too good for Middlesbrough on the night and booking their place with a tremendous result their place in the Carabao Cup final. They will now be looking to win their first trophy under Mauricio Pochettino.
